Alex Castro is incredibly sexy in every way. Holy hell. And while American Gladiators isn’t technically wrestling, watching extremely buff, hot men pounding against one another aggressively is certainly the spirit of wrestling. (Wait, I need to catch my breath after writing that last sentence… okay). This interview with him on YouTube through PinkMafia is just adorable. What the hell sexy thing can’t this gorgeous man do? He can pound competitors into the mat (wait, one more moment to myself… okay), he can balance another hot stud on the top of his head (again… okay), and he’s got an incredibly sexy voice, not to mention every inch of his body (this is going to take a minute… okay, I’m back). I predict there will be more and more crossovers between gay porn circles and mainstream media like Alex (aka Elian Cortez). Seriously now, who could complain about seeing more of Alex?

Rasslin’ Art

I’m a huge fan of the blog Rants Roids & Rasslin, which includes original art by John Savage. Savage posts an unfolding web comic of superhero wrestling that is sizzling hot, as well as occasional coverage of indie wrestling and assorted other posts. The blog’s link to the author’s Celebrity Wrestling group took me to my inspiration for my own writing. While I was waiting for a sign-up period for Celebrity Wrestling, I started writing my own homoerotic wrestling fiction. Once I got signed up on Celebrity Wrestling, I found that my imagination took me in some different directions from where Savage takes his storylines. But I highly recommend them, nonetheless. Fun, creative, hot stuff! (By the way, the photo is of model Philip Fusco, looking ready to rumble… he’ll definitely be making an appearance in the Producer’s Ring soon!)

Wrestling Does a Body Good

I think this juicy story of two collegiate wrestlers dropped after they posed for a gay porn site is indicative of the confused state of culture and sexuality these days. Not sure what the future holds for Paul Donahoe, but I hope it’s a future that takes place in a world much more body-positive and much less sex (and homo) negative. I’m not sure which of these two photos is hotter. Good lord, with a body like that, it should be criminal to discourage him from showing it off!

Holy hell-in-a-handbasket! Why don’t we see more of (and I mean that literally and figuratively) actors like Henry Simmons? Not to say that there aren’t plenty of gorgeous white guys out there, but seriously, variety is the spice of life, and men of color are not getting the exposure they (and we) deserve (and I mostly mean that literally).

I realize this is quite a look backward, but when I think about beautiful men and hot wrestling, Kevin Von Erich is high on my list. His body was stunning, and those legs were so sexy! I don’t know how he feels about his gay fans, but I know I’m not alone in finding his body in motion incredibly erotic. The “official Von Erich website” has a few photos, but it looks like it’s primarily a vehicle for the Heroes of Wrestling movie. You can find a few of Kevin’s matches on YouTube, some of better quality than others.

Clearly I’m not the only one who finds wrestling inherently homoerotic. Many gay video companies specialize in wrestling products. One of my favorite wrestlers is from BG East, appearing in several of their productions in the past couple of years. He wrestles as Mitch Colby, and he has a bodybuilding blog under the name Marc. He’s got a gorgeous face and body, and he’s recently been doing more explicitly erotic wrestling. When he dominates and then makes out with his opponents, it’s a provocative work of art! Keep them coming, Mitch/Marc!

Things catch my eye as I walk through life, surf the internet, browse through television shows… Beautiful men always grab my attention. Wrestling often makes me stop and take notice. Gay topics are always near and dear to my heart. Frequently, I find myself fantasizing about how the many, often separate things that catch my eye would look mixed together. For example beautiful men wrestling in a homoerotic context. So this blog is simply a collection of what catches my eye. Separately, the things I post aren’t necessarily related to one another. Many beautiful men have nothing to do with wrestling or with being gay. But placing them side by side opens up my imagination a little, and life is a little richer when we allow ourselves to imagine.
